Alvarez & Marsal Appoints Dr. Gion Job Senior Director to Bolster Tax Practice in Switzerland 

The seasoned professional brings more than three decades of industry experience in Tax, M&A and change management

Zurich, 15 May, 2025 – Alvarez & Marsal Tax (A&M Tax), an affiliate of global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), announces the appointment of Dr. Gion Job  in its Swiss practice. The strategic hire, effective immediately, comes as A&M meets increasing client demand in Switzerland for global tax-planning strategies.

A trusted partner to businesses for their international direct and indirect tax, Dr. Job is a Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) specialist with more than 30 years’ experience leading tax operations in the chemical industry across jurisdictions. This accomplished professional will work closely with Zurich-based Managing Director Dr. Kersten Honold to further advance A&M Tax Swiss’ practice, as it continues its expansion since launching in 2024.

Prior to joining A&M, Dr. Job spent 23 years as the Global Head of Tax at Clariant and two years as the Global Head of Tax at EMS-Chemie Group.  At Clariant he led teams across the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East and ensured tax efficiency, tax compliance and the portfolio transformation of the Group, including:

• the acquisitions of some 30 businesses as well as larger global chemical groups in Germany, UK, US, and the Netherlands;
• the carve-out and disposal of 12 major business units;
• the sale of 40 medium and small businesses; and
• major merger preparations and executions in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, and the US.
